Big Bad Thing

As a husband and father, Darius is the main provider in his family. While his job is

stable, his current pay isn’t keeping up with rising living costs.

“It isn’t like this big bad thing happened to my family,” Darius explained. “Sometimes,

life just happens, and you need some help. It is hard for me to ask for help.”  Keeping

up with the responsibilities of everyday life is overwhelming for Darius at times. “It is a

lot of pressure. We got behind, and I can’t stretch our food money further alone.”

Darius came to Dallas High Shoals Christian Ministry to ask for help stretching their

food budget. Now, once every month or so, Darius comes through the pickup line with a

big smile. We hand him his food box, and he repeatedly expresses how grateful he is

that our ministry is available for his family during these uncertain times.

Donations to the Dallas Ministry’s Food Assistance Program go directly to families like

Darius’s who need a little help stretching their food budget. Thank you for your generous

support to this work we all share for this community.
